It was windy the day hurricane Katrina came through the Ohio valley. It was enough to push over the hickory tree in the front yard. It gave out a big WHOOSH as if it was passing away.
It was enough to scare the dogs and block the neighbors driveway. Neighborhood kids had been playing and riding bikes there just a few minutes earlier.
It made a mess that Marty had to clean up.
The branches were cut up and loaded into the truck.
But in the end, all that was left was a stack of hardwood and a little sawdust. Nobody got hurt and not even a mailbox was destroyed.
