It’s hard to believe that almost half of 2005 has gotten away from us. I have not updated this web site for almost 4 months. Nobody seemed to notice, so maybe I am just doing this for myself anyway.
I’ll update you with some photos later on down the page, but I feel like I want to update the story as well.
I have been trying to help some friends with a web site for their business. I have also been taking a lot of pictures and trying to practice my guitar more. There is always plenty to do and not enough time.
We had two big events already this year. Dave and Judy got married. I am putting together that movie and trying some new things. It was great to see all the family. We also made some new family when we met Judy’s side. I think they are about half the people in Dekalb. I could not be happier. Dave has met a great woman and got a great new family thrown in. We got to hand out with Mike and Lisa also. Our family in Illinois is growing and it almost makes you want to move back (NOT!)
On a sadder note, Marty’s mom passed away. Those of you that remember her knew she was a funny lady. She was quick to make a big smile. She raised 5 kids and I don’t know how. Even the littlest one of us was much bigger than Sally. But nobody had a bigger heart. The last couple years wore on with serious health issues. She still had all her spunk though. To say we will miss her every day does not go far enough, but I don’t know what words would.
One thing that I would like to do more of this summer is having fun. So far we have had the boat out twice. Lars and Marty are going golfing soon. We will be down in Florida for another visit soon. I hope this is a year that will have some great memories. Stay posted.
