Painting!

Everything has a first coat, even the windows

Week Ending May 23

The paint has been sprayed in the rooms, for example, the Dining room and Family room below.  I was a bit surprised that even the enamel was applied by sprayer.  The first coat went on, then the walls were taped and the trim was done.  The painters were there until after 11:00 at night, working with a generator.  We knew that meant there was going to be another flurry of activity.
The wiring hangs out of the wall above the sinks in the master bath.  They seem a bit off center to us.

The detail is lacking a bit on the exterior shot.  I wanted to show a picture of the aggregate walk.  I found out that they pour cement, then sprinkle aggregate and fill to the top of the frame with a top coat of cement.  Then the next day, the top coat is sand-blasted, exposing the aggregate.

Hoorah, the cabinets.  The island is not attached to the floor yet, but you get a much better picture of what the kitchen will look like.
The tile surround is put around the tub.  Should we have used black tile to match the sinks?  We were not asked, but there is a chance we could fix it in the future.
The garage is filling up.  The steps are in and the furnace takes up half of the wall.
Here is what the house looks like in the late afternoon sun.
