The Walls Go Up

We can begin to visualize the house

Week Ending April 5

After the brick and block went up, we stopped by and played around.  The house looks very small when you just look at the foot print.  Lars and Kate walked around the foundation.

The house arrived by truck and was dropped off in the front yard.
The walls are going up and we can actually see what the rooms will look like.  Right now it takes a little imagination because we can still see through the walls and the ceiling.
As the walls go up, the pile in the front yard gets smaller.  Now the house is not completely transparent.  They have finished the first floor framing except for the garage.

We continue to keep working on the stuff we have to do.  Cindy is hard at work at the new office.  This is really just a folding table that gives her plenty of room.  Lars is claiming that table for his room when we move to the new house.  You never know what will excite the kids.

You can see Marty replacing the garbage disposal.  It developed a little hole that sprayed mashed potatoes on him when he tried to fix it.  We are glad it happened now and not after we moved out!
