The siding is starting on one end. Actually, this picture could have gone in last week. They started to put up siding and we thought they would finish right away. There is another really important thing that happened. Follow this link to see Katie dressed up funny. |
| We still went to the house just about every
day. We always hope for something exciting. Katie wanted to
come out in the back yard. She really isn't wearing the right shoes
to jump out the door.
The siding folks took off for a couple days. Then BAM! |

As you can see, they finished the rest of the house in a day. The people doing the siding must have worked under the people doing the roof. It appeared the same day. We chose Classic Black shingles. Somebody told us it would be hot, but shingles always are. We like the way it looks. And the next day they finished the roof. |
| The other real excitement was the fireplace showing up. We had a nook built over the fireplace to hold the TV. It should accommodate up to a 36" TV. |  |

They roughed in the plumbing, electrical and
gas. You can see the tub and plumbing right through Katie's bedroom
wall. Hopefully that will not be true after we move in.
We are at the house looking at where we want to place cable TV and computer network outlets. |
